Day 10: Pleasure, Sonnet, Apostrophe

The Ghost of Jupiter

Nebula is that you shining brightly

In deep space so far from my human eye

Disarmed by telescopes tweaked ever so slightly

To be able to watch you slowly die

Planetary layers lit by ultraviolet light

Leaving you out there amazingly exposed

I must admit that you’re an enjoyable delight

With your hot oxygen atoms aglow

A beautifully brilliant, but dying sun

With an unmistakable hue

Looked upon year after year by almost everyone

Some hoping that you would pull through

Alas, if you hadn’t been on your way out, I’d never have known you completely

Without Mr. Herschel’s incredible discovery, you’d have left this universe discreetly
