I used to play the violin in Jr. High. 6th through 8th grade. I should’ve continued, but I didn’t. I can’t remember why exactly, but I’m sure it had to do with going into High School and being too anxious about that.
I regret it now. I still have that violin. As a matter of fact, I had it re-strung and bought a new bow recently in the hopes of picking it up again by taking lessons. However, as always, life gets in the way of your plans, and that hasn’t quite happened yet.
I can play one song on the Ukulele. Back in Black by ACDC! It’s bad ass and I learned on my daughters ukulele and watching youtube videos on how to play. It’s a cute little instrument.
I’d love to learn how to play the bass. Not the giant standing kind, because I’m only 5’3 and I probably couldn’t even hold it upright, let alone play the damn thing, haha. The bass guitar. I love how it sounds. It’s almost the soul of a song reverberating deep within.
I think it’d be cool to learn the harp, but I can honestly say I just don’t have the patience for that one. Toooo many strings! Violin, ukulele, bass: 4 strings. I’m a 4-string kinda gal I guess.
I came across something called a hang drum and I can’t get enough of it! I’d love to learn that too (my list is getting longer here). Not many people have even heard of it. If you haven’t, click here to check it out. It’s pretty rad.
